Bicigrino Seal: stops on the Camino verified for cyclists

When you see this seal on the map, in a stage's details, or in a suggestion from our assistants, it means that accommodation, restaurant, or service has been visited and verified by the Bicigrino team using criteria designed for those traveling by bike.

Stops carrying the Bicigrino Seal are guesthouses, hotels, restaurants and services right on the Camino Francés and the Camino Portuguese Coastal route, where a cyclist can lock the bike away safely, recharge the battery if riding an e-bike, and set off in the morning without carrying the panniers down a staircase. They appear marked on the planner map, in each stage’s details and in the assistants’ suggestions, and they can also be consulted with the app offline.

What we verify

The seal is granted on concrete criteria, not on goodwill. Each highlighted stop shows the ones it meets:

  • Secure bike storage
  • E-bike charging
  • Workshop kit
  • Bike wash
  • Cyclist-friendly hours
  • Laundry
  • Luggage transfer
  • Loaded-bike access
  • Right on the track

Transparency: what «Highlight» means

Stops with the «Highlight» badge combine two things: the editorial verification of the seal and a commercial partnership with Bicigrino. In other words, they're businesses that meet our bike-friendly criteria and that also work with us to gain visibility in the app.

That partnership never alters the routes, profiles, or technical advice of the planner. And whenever a highlight appears — on the map, in a stage, or in a reply from Estela or Jacobo — you'll see it identified with its badge. No hidden mentions.

Do you run a business on the Camino?

If your accommodation, restaurant, or service is right on the route and you'd like to join the program, write to us at caminosantiagobike@gmail.com and we'll explain the criteria and how verification works.
